What daily routine is my French Bulldog puppy used to?

Ideally, your French Bulldog puppy should follow a schedule of feeding, exercise, play, and training, as well as sleeping (which will occupy 18 hours a day or more).  It is advisable to begin with feeding 3 meals at set times (morning, mid-day, and evening).  Let them eat all they want for 15 or 20 minutes, and then take their food away, although they should always have access to clean water.  They will need a potty break within a few minutes after they finish eating.

For exercise, they need 15 to 30 minutes of short walks or play sessions, preferable two or more times per day.  They will generally have to relieve themselves when they are in the process of an activity session, or shortly thereafter, so it is a good idea to have them outside when the weather permits.

Teach basic training commands and socialization during the playtime, but keep it short and fun. Make sure the puppy has water and nap time often because they require frequent rest.  A final potty break before they go to bed and a daily routine will put your French Bulldog puppy at ease and in a positive behavioral pattern.

Note:  Once your puppy is house trained, you can continue to feed them a couple of times a day, or you can leave their food out so they can eat when they are hungry.  Very few Frenchies will over eat, even when they have access to food at all times, providing you are not feeding them from the table or feeding them a lot of high calorie treats on a regular basis.
