We are both fastidious housekeepers (like mother, like daughter), so it is very fortunate that Frenchies do not shed much, especially since we have inside Frenchies, and all of our dogs spend some time inside.  Sure, they shed a little, but not enough that even fussy housekeepers like us can’t deal with it.

They are short haired and single coated (one reason they can’t tolerate extremely cold temperatures for extended periods of time), so they do not shed as much as other dogs with fur.  There are some dogs that have hair similar to human hair (for example, Yorkies) which do not shed at all, but for a dog with fur, Frenchies are about as good as it gets for minimal shedding.
