Chocolate brindles and chocolate pieds, like blues (blue brindles, blue pieds, blue-fawns, blue-fawn pieds), are still quite rare because the chocolate color (like the blue) is the result of a recessive gene (as yet unidentified in most Frenchies) which must therefore be inherited from both mom and dad. One thing we know for sure, they are beautiful – and, at least in our case, they have some of the softest fur you have ever felt. And they have the most gorgeous eyes you have ever seen (bright yellow, green, or golden). We expect to have quite a few of these beautiful Frenchie puppies in the future.
