Daenarys (fawn pied)

Daenarys is the sweetest little girl ever from our retired Arius and Joy. She just had her final litter with Kobe, and they are adorable puppies. We will introduce them sometime after they are 6 weeks old and have had their vet checks. We will place Daenarys in her forever home when she has finished weaning her puppies about mid-January. She is a very special girl in that she is deaf. Although deafness is something that can be fairly common in pied dogs (Dalmatians are notorious for deafness), she is only the fourth we have had in 13 years. It is not a hereditary condition and has to do with the hair follicles that grow within the ear. All puppies are born deaf, and at about 2-weeks their ears open and they begin to hear. For a few pieds, they never gain hearing. However, our experience is that they are extraordinarily sweet dogs and make wonderful pets, because nothing bothers them. She will be placed free of charge into a wonderful home when the time comes.
